Why PEACH
Before anything else, I chose the name PEACH.
Not for marketing. Not for memorability (well, maybe a litte…).
But as a mental scaffold and operational compass.
PEACH As Acronyms
PEACH stands for multiple acronyms, depending on the context. The payoff is:
Procrastination Ends And Clarity Happens.
Each letter also encodes a principle that guides building, thinking, and action, while directly targeting procrastination:
P - Progress over perfection
Every action counts. Perfection is the enemy of moving forward.E - Environment shapes action
Remove friction. Design cues. Nudge behavior. Clarity of context drives execution.A - Accountability can be internal and external
Own decisions and results, and leverage scaffolding from others when needed. Stops avoidance loops.C - Clarity first, complexity later
Decide before designing. Kill uncertainty before scaling effort. Direct antidote to overthinking.H - Habits as leverage
Small, repeatable patterns compound into motion. Reinforces consistency and breaks inertia.
These principles are constraints, not slogans. They force decisions and movement instead of procrastination.
Why Naming Matters
A name is not about logos or domains.
It’s about how you reason about the project.
With PEACH, every decision can be checked against the acronym:
- Does it increase Progress?
- Does it leverage Environment?
- Does it enforce Accountability?
- Does it bring Clarity?
- Does it build Habits?
If the answer is no, it doesn’t pass the filter.
Optionality vs Alignment
PEACH allows experimentation.
It gives enough openness to pivot, enough constraints to stay coherent.
This is not about perfect definitions.
It’s about alignment of action, language, and clarity.
What This Changes
From this point forward:
- PEACH is the container for ideas, experiments, and failures
- All early artifacts are judged by the acronym
- Any name, site, or product variation must stay consistent with the acronym’s meaning
PEACH is now a mental and operational compass that directly fights procrastination and overthinking.
Everything else flows from it.
