How Long Are You Going to Wait? Why Most Accountability Programs Fail ADHD Founders

Michael Jordan missed 9,000 shots in his career.
He failed over and over.
And THAT is why he succeeded.
- From his iconic 1997 Nike “Failure” commercial

Vince Lombardi said it best: “Winners never quit. And quitters never win.”

And Epictetus asked the question that changes everything: “How long are you going to wait before you demand the best for yourself?”

I’ve known for a while that success isn’t about avoiding failure.
It’s about failing in public. Repeatedly. Intentionally.

What I’ve recently found out, is far more interesting:

there’s a massive difference between failing in private and failing in public.

And that difference is exactly why most growth programs fail the people who need them most.

The Truth About Growth

  • You can read every book on leadership.
  • Take every course on visibility.
  • Join every mastermind group.

But none of it matters until you’re in a room where:

  • The people watching you, KNOW you
  • Your reputation is on the line
  • You have to act when it actually counts

This is especially true for ADHD founders.
If you’re reading this, you probably know exactly what to do:
You have the strategies. The systems. The knowledge.

But when it comes to actually doing it especially when people are watching, you shut down.

That’s not a character flaw. That’s how your brain works.

Why Anonymous Accountability Doesn’t Work

Here’s the problem with most accountability programs:

Anonymous accountability is cheap.

Anyone can commit to a stranger in a Zoom call. Anyone can say “I’ll do it” when no one knows their name. Anyone can ghost when things get uncomfortable.

That’s not accountability. That’s performance for people who don't matter.

The real test?
When you’re in a room with people who know your name, your history, your potential, and you still show up and do the work anyway.

That’s why PEACH-Flow isn’t just another accountability group.

PEACH-Flow is structured exposure practice for high-achievers who shut down under visibility pressure.

The ADHD Founder’s Dilemma

ADHD brains are wired differently. We’re not broken. We’re not lazy. We’re not undisciplined.

But we do struggle with:

  • Executive function - Knowing what to do but not being able to start
  • Rejection sensitivity - Feeling the weight of judgment more intensely
  • Time blindness - “I’ll do it later” becomes “I never did it”
  • Dopamine dependency - Tasks without immediate reward feel impossible

Traditional accountability systems assume you’re neurotypical. They don’t work for ADHD brains because they don’t account for how we actually experience pressure, commitment, and follow-through.

Here’s what does work:

  • Small, structured commitments with immediate feedback
  • A safe group where failure is expected and normalized
  • Anonymous accountability that gradually becomes known accountability
  • A system that lets you win repeatedly until your brain rewires

That’s PEACH-Flow.

Why We Require an Intake Call (And Why That’s a Good Thing)

This is where most programs get it wrong.

They let anyone in. They sell to everyone. They prioritize growth over fit.

We require an intake call before participants can join a Growth Sprint.

Not to “sell” you on our program.

Not to gatekeep.

But to ensure you’re ready to fail in public. To commit to growth when it’s uncomfortable.
To be the person who takes the game-winning shot even after missing 9,000 times before.

Here’s what the intake protects:

1. Your psychological safety

You’re not the only one in the group. If you’re not ready to be vulnerable, you’ll hold back. And if you hold back, you won’t get the results you need.

2. The community’s quality

PEACH-Flow works because everyone is committed. Everyone is serious. Everyone is ready to do the work. One person who’s not ready can derail the entire group’s momentum.

3. Your time and money

If you’re not a fit, you’ll waste both. The intake ensures you’re investing in something that will actually move the needle for you.

4. The program’s integrity

We’re not building a membership. We’re building a movement. There’s a difference.

Built on Ancient Philosophy and Modern Science

Jordan, Lombardi, and Epictetus aren’t just inspirational quotes. They’re the foundation of PEACH-Flow’s methodology.

Soft outside, hard at the core.

A peach is not just sweet. At its centre is something that doesn’t yield. PEACH-Flow is built on the same duality: warm enough to be honest in, demanding enough to actually change something. Ubuntu says I am because we are. Stoicism says discomfort is not the enemy, it’s fuel for growth. Like fire consuming wood, the obstacle doesn’t block the way, it is the way. Together they’re the foundation PEACH-Flow is built on.

Separate the feeling from the action.

Procrastination is not a character flaw. It is emotional dysregulation. Research by Pychyl & Flett (2012) links chronic procrastination directly to difficulty regulating negative emotion, not poor time management. The practice is not to eliminate the discomfort. It is to act while it is still present. First time, showing up is enough. Get your reps in and you will get better.

Pressure reveals character. Repeated pressure builds it.

The Stoics practiced voluntary hardship, deliberate exposure to discomfort to build tolerance. Sports science calls this pressure inoculation: graduated exposure to stress in a controlled environment increases performance under real conditions (Driskell & Johnston, 1998). The Growth Sprint is that environment. You are not performing. You are training.

Failure is shared data, not individual verdict.

When one member stalls, the group helps diagnose the bottleneck without shame. This mirrors what Annie Duke calls a truthseeking charter in Thinking in Bets: a small group committed to accuracy over comfort. Amy Edmondson’s psychological safety research (Harvard, 1999) shows high-performing teams are not conflict-free. They are environments where people feel safe enough to take interpersonal risks. I grow because the community grows.

The Real Question

If you’re an ADHD founder who’s read this far, you know what the problem is. You know what needs to change.

The question isn’t whether you need growth. The question is:

How long are you going to wait before you demand the best for yourself?

  • Are you going to wait for the “right time”? (It doesn’t exist.)
  • Are you going to wait until you feel ready? (You never will.)
  • Are you going to wait until someone else fixes it for you? (They won’t.)

Or are you going to take the shot?

What Happens After the Intake?

If we determine you’re a fit (and not everyone is), here’s what comes next:

  1. Trial Growth Sprint
One sprint. That’s it. Not a 4-week trial, not a “free month.”
Just one structured growth sprint to experience the PEACH-Flow structure and see if it’s for you.
  2. (Founding) Cohort
The cohorts are limited to 8 seats.
It’s a 4-week program where you go deep with the methodology.
After the cohort, the basis is set: you’re ready to host and work in growth sprints yourself.
The first cohort is only CHF 99, after that it will be CHF 600.
Plus, you get a 3-month silver subscription free.
  3. Re-engagement
If the first sprint isn’t the right fit, we work with you to find the right path forward.

We’re selective.
Because we prioritize quality over quantity.
We’d rather have 8 people who transform than 80 who don’t.
